The Death of Fitzgerald Delauney University College Falmouth September 2010
Fitzgerald Delauney, a botanist of great repute, was making a journey to the estate of a childhood friend, Ambrose Bunting, in order to help establish a new orchard for his quinces. F. Delauney never reached his destination; it is thought that he took an early morning swim in a cold mountain lake; his heart was not strong.
