Refugio Greve de Lecq Barracks, Jersey April 2021

‘Refugio’ was designed in response to the way life changed over the past year. The work hoped to distil some of these changes. The audience was invited to move around the hut catching a glimpse of the interior space by looking through the main entrance, and several other openings, with the possibility of being confronted by someone viewing from another side. It sought to encourage the viewer to reflect upon the ideas of exterior and interior, public and private, of confinement and freedom.
